About
Us:
Cheryl L. Parisi and Joseph E. Parisi III. have been in the permanent
hair removal business for over 28 years, and the permanent makeup
industry for over 14 years. In 1998 they acquired the Candela GentleLASE
Laser for hair removal to offer their clients a better solution
to there unwanted hair removal problems. They attended a thorough
laser training program in 1998 in Florida to enhance their knowledge
of Laser Hair Removal as this new technology evolves. They
also wanted to investigate the procedure first hand to see if it
works. In their opinion, when the laser is combined with traditional
electrolysis permanent results can be attained in a fraction of
the time. "We look forward to educating the public and the
medical profession on the advantages and disadvantages of laser
hair removal and how both modalities should compliment one another.

Laser Hair Removal:
We
would like to inform you that laser hair removal is not permanent
by itself. The most laser hair removal can provide is permanent
hair reduction. This means long term hair removal. But when you
combine laser hair removal and then follow up subsequent treatments
with electrolysis you can obtain a permanent result in a fraction
of the time.
Our observations of laser hair removal
have been quite remarkable. The reduction in re-growth after a laser
treatment has actually surpassed our expectations. Not only does
the client save time by having the laser, they also save money.
The plain and simple truth of our Laser Procedure versus electrolysis
is that for every 2 minutes of laser treatment it could take up to 2 hours
of electrolysis depending on the efficiency of the electrologist.
Women's forearms could take as much
as 15 to 20 hours to clear with electrolysis, now with the laser
your treatment time will be cut down to 20 to 40 minutes. Men's
backs with electrolysis, 75 to 150 hours to clear the area one time.
With the laser 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Women's upper lips with electrolysis
15 to 60 minutes. With the Laser approximately 10 to 20 seconds
to clear the upper lip one time.
Please
don't misunderstand, both electrolysis & laser hair removal
each have distinctive value to rid unwanted hair. Most laser's of
today are still not capable to treat white, gray, or light blonde
hairs. These hairs do not have enough pigment to attract the laser
light. In these cases electrolysis is the only answer for
permanent hair removal. Also red hair is in the red spectrum of
light which the ruby and alexandrite lasers utilize. Therefore the
laser light will not see the red hairs.
Also
at the end of the laser cycle of treatments (usually 3 to 8 treatments
over 12 to 24 months) you may still have some scattered re-growth.
At this time you may only need a couple of 15 to 30 minute sessions
of electrolysis to clear the area. Larger area's may need more time
and smaller area's will need less time. Each case will be different
because each individuals hair growth is different. Laser Hair Removal
and Traditional Electrolysis can and should work hand in hand with
each other. It also should be noted that previous methods of hair
removal could add additional laser treatments to the cycle. For
instance, people who have waxed or tweezed area's will need more
laser treatments than someone who has not tampered with the hair.
Waxed and tweezed hairs grow deeper and thicker each time the hair
is pulled out.
The
laser provides speed. Using the laser for the first three to eight
treatments then following up with electrolysis means both quick
and permanent hair removal. We can say permanent hair removal because
at the end of the laser cycle we will be using electrolysis treatments
to rid the scattered re-growth. Another advantage of using the laser
is that after your first treatment you will not have to be retreated
from 6-13 weeks. After this time you will have your second treatment.
You should be able to go 7 1/2 weeks up to 18 weeks. After the third
treatment, you will go anywhere from 9 weeks to 20 weeks. If a fourth
treatment is necessary, you will go 11 to 26 weeks and be re-evaluated.
Electrolysis may be able to clean up the scattered re-growth or
you might need another laser treatment. There are contributing factors.
Everybody’s hair growth is different. As an example, after your
first treatment you will go 6 to 13 weeks before re-treatment. The
six-week interval is usually for tweezed hairs, waxed hairs, hairs
that have been tampered with, ripped out at the root. First, those
hairs generally when they re-grow they grow thicker and deeper into
the skin therefore they will take longer to get under control. Second,
because they are a thicker hair they are going to re-grow faster. We
have had patients who have gone 13/14 weeks after one laser treatment.
And we have had patients that have only gone 4/5 weeks. Again everyone’s
hair growth is different and these are just general guidelines that
we have observed over the past 4 1/2 years of treating patients with the laser and electrolysis. (back

Electrolysis:
Electrolysis
is the only permanent method of hair removal. Each individual
hair is treated by inserting a tiny surgical probe into the hair
follicle and directing a split second impulse of energy down to
the hair root. Electrolysis is only as good as the technician though.
Also, electrolysis is a series of treatments. It is not one treatment
and the hair is gone forever.
This means that it is a weakening process. After an electrolysis
treatment the hair should grow back thinner and finer. It also depends
how thick or thin the unwanted hair is. For instance, someone who
has been waxing or tweezing will need more treatments than someone who has
not tampered with the area.

** All of the above are only examples. You could multiply what
your electrologist charges you times (X's) the number (#) of
treatments to get a better idea of your cost. Your cost could
be lower or higher depending on what your electrologist charges
and what your laser facility charges.
Also waxed and tweezed hairs
will need more laser treatments than someone who has not tampered
with their hair. Some patients will need more treatments than
others. (back

Permanent
Cosmetics
Since 1989 we have been offering permanent cosmetics. What is Permanent
Cosmetics? Simply described it is a form of tattooing. Although
traditional tattooing is put in the skin very harsh. Our Permanent
Cosmetics is put into the skin more gentle and will give a softer
more natural look.
We also offer hair strokes for eyebrows and pointillist tattooing
for the eyeliner and lip colors.
We can develop almost any color that pleases you. We have treated
people with alopecia, vitillago and those who have scars. But the
main reason for permanent cosmetics is for the convenience. Although
as women age they find that they cannot see and or their hands shake,
so applying their makeup has become a chore that is dreaded everyday. (back

One
of our Permanent Cosmetic Clients
One
of our women clients had problems penciling her eyebrows on every
day. She was so upset the day we first met her, she came in crying.
We asked her why she was
crying? She told us it took over 3 hours to apply her eyebrows on
that day! Her hands shook and she had trouble seeing to apply them
evenly. And they were a mess. One was arched higher and thinner
than the other. Cheryl and I both felt the pain this women was going
through but knew we could help her.
After her brows were applied with permanent makeup she was crying
again. This time because she was so happy. It brought tears to our
eyes too, knowing that we could help her with her problem.
This case is not isolated. Many people as they age don't have a
steady hand anymore or even lose some of their eyesight. We have
found this to be common. If you do have a problem applying your
makeup on a daily basis, please call us we can help you. 1.888.527.3714
